Why Enroll in This Course?

PLCnext lets you run C++ code next to your normal PLC program. This is useful for tasks that are hard in ladder logic, like data logging. You write the C++ code in Eclipse and then run it on the controller.

This PLCnext C++ course has 28 lessons. You start with data types and a simple analog program. You learn about tasks and the GDS. Then you install Eclipse, the PLCnext toolchain, and the SDK for Windows. You create your first C++ project in Eclipse and run it on the PLCnext Starterkit. At the end, you build a data logging project with ladder logic and C++.

This course builds on our PLCnext Starterkit and PLCnext ladder logic courses. It is part of our PLC programming courses. With a RealPars membership, you get this course and all our other courses. When you finish, you get a certificate from RealPars.

Ideal for you if...

  • You know the basics of PLCnext and want to use C++.
  • You know C++ and want to use it on a PLC.
