Every control system starts with sensors. They tell the PLC what is happening in the process. If a sensor is wrong, the whole system is wrong.

This course has 22 lessons. It covers photoelectric, level, temperature, and pressure sensors. You also learn about Pt100 sensors, load cells, limit switches, PWM sensors, and differential pressure transmitters. Then you look at inductive and capacitive sensors and how to read the datasheet of a 3-wire proximity sensor. The last part covers sensor calibration, vibration sensors, and NAMUR sensors. You also learn about smart sensors and their role in IIoT.
