Overview
A regional food manufacturer was adding capacity and needed three packaging lines brought under modern, maintainable Siemens control without pausing production.
The existing lines ran on a patchwork of legacy logic with no documentation, making every changeover slow and every fault hard to diagnose. The plant needed a clean S7-1500 standard and an operator-friendly HMI, commissioned around a tight production calendar.
We built a single, fully documented S7-1500 program with reusable function blocks shared across all three lines, then designed a WinCC HMI around the operators' actual workflow. Every tag and routine was reviewed by a second engineer before factory acceptance, and cutover was staged line by line to keep the plant running.
Three packaging lines commissioned on schedule and on a fixed price
Changeover time reduced through standardized, reusable logic
Complete code and HMI documentation handed to the in-house maintenance team
The code is the cleanest we have ever received, and our team can actually maintain it.
