A specialty chemicals producer needed a new batch skid brought online with safety-rated control and a documentation trail ready for audit.
The process required a SIL-rated safety function integrated with standard batch sequencing, all on a compressed timeline ahead of a factory acceptance test.
We programmed the batch sequence on an S7-1500F failsafe controller, separating the safety logic cleanly from the process logic. A second engineer performed a full SIL review of the safety routines before FAT, and every interlock was documented for the customer's audit file.
